If you require immediate medical attention, contact your treating general practitioner or call 000.
DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM IF
- you have or think you may have an emergency or critical condition or
symptom, including, but in no way limited to:
- severe chest pain;
- heart attack;
- stroke;
- loss of consciousness;
- severe bleeding; or
- breathing difficulty.
If you are in doubt about the seriousness of your condition, the appropriateness or effectiveness of using this Platform or believe that you, or anyone is in an urgent, dangerous or emergency situation, you should not use the Platform and instead contact 000 immediately or seek alternative and appropriate medical services.
Our digital environment, including https://directdoctors.com.au (collectively the “Platform”), is owned and operated by Direct Doctors (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully, as they establish a binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you, the user (“User”), and us. By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional rules or guidelines posted on our Platform, forms the complete agreement between you and us. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please discontinue your use of the Platform immediately. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. By continuing to use the Platform, you agree to these Terms, including any updates made periodically.
In these Terms of Use, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Direct Doctors
Disclosure
Our service provides personalized, in-depth health diagnostics and insights through online assessments and consultations with Direct Doctors Partner Doctors. For urgent medical assistance, please contact your primary care physician or call 000.
If you are unsure about the severity of your condition, the suitability of this Platform, or the effectiveness of using it, or if you believe that you or someone else is in an urgent, dangerous, or emergency situation, please do not use this Platform. Instead, call 000 immediately or seek appropriate medical assistance.
Our role is solely to connect you with a qualified, Australian-registered Doctor or specialist through one of our partner providers. The selected Direct Doctors Partner Doctor or specialist will, at their discretion and based on their professional judgment, evaluate your suitability for various treatments and may suggest alternative therapies or medications. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse or guarantee, any medical advice, products, or services provided by third parties, including those from a Direct Doctors Partner Doctor.
Upon payment of the Fees, we commit to providing the Services as outlined in these Terms. While we will make reasonable efforts to meet any specified timeframe, you acknowledge that these timelines are estimates and may be subject to change.
Our current Direct Doctors functionality is limited to issuing single-day and two day medical certificates only.

Platform Summary
The Platform connects users with medical practitioners, enabling users to request medical certificates. It facilitates the exchange of information between the user and the medical practitioner.
Registration
To register to use our Platform you must:
- Accept and agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- Create an account to register on the Platform. Each user is permitted only one account, which cannot be transferred.
- possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- reside in Australia with a valid Australian residential address.
- act independently and not on behalf of or at the request of any other person or entity.
- acknowledge that we reserve the right to revoke access to the Platform and its services from anyone, at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice.
- provide truthful, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering on the Platform.
- The information you provide us through the Platform, including but not limited to your Request Information, must be accurate, complete and up to date. We are not obliged to confirm the identity of Users but may, at our discretion, take reasonable steps to ensure details are accurate
- We reserve the right to refuse to process any User requests for any reason at our sole discretion or to deny anyone access to a subscription or the Platform at any time and for any reason, without notice.
Use
By accessing and using our Platform, you affirm and guarantee that you:
- will provide honest, accurate, thorough, and up-to-date information to enable the medical practitioner to make an informed decision.
- are at least 18 years of age
- acknowledge and agree that if you do not provide truthful, complete, accurate, and up-to-date information, the medical practitioner may be unable to fulfill your request.
- acknowledge and agree that the medical practitioner is required to operate within professional best practice guidelines and adhere to legislative requirements.
- agree to keep your personal information on the Platform current and up-to-date.
- are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and are accountable for all activity that takes place on your account.
- You acknowledge that the medical practitioner retains the full and absolute discretion to refuse to issue a medical certificate.
- Acknowledge that neither the medical practitioner nor this Platform can guarantee the issuance of a medical certificate.
- Acknowledge that the medical practitioner reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to adjust the number of days of leave specified in a medical certificate in order to align with best medical practices and professional standards.
- acknowledge and agree that we do not provide any warranty, guarantee, or representation that your medical certificate will be accepted by your employer or academic institution as valid proof of personal illness or injury (or for the personal illness or injury of a dependent in the case of carer's leave).
- acknowledge that in certain cases, a physical examination, blood tests, diagnostic imaging, and/or other tests may be necessary. These cannot be provided through an online platform and will require you to schedule an appointment with your local general practitioner.
- will either contact a general practitioner or go to the emergency department immediately if advised to do so by the medical practitioner.
- You will contact your local general practitioner or go to the emergency department if your symptoms worsen or do not improve.
- Acknowledge that this platform is not eligible for Medicare Australia coverage. Any services provided will be billed privately, and you will not be entitled to receive any Medicare rebate.
- you acknowledge that we may send you correspondence via email or SMS. You have the option to opt out of these communications at any time.
- will use this platform solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with all relevant state, territory, or commonwealth laws and regulations.
- agree to use the platform in accordance with these terms.
Prohibited Conduct
- You agree not to alter, manipulate, reproduce, or deconstruct the structure of this Platform or any software and code contained within it.
- You agree not to utilize this Platform, including any content within it, in any manner that competes with our business.
- You agree not to engage in any actions that could harm our systems, reputation, or goodwill, or that may disrupt the integrity of the Platform.
- You will not invade another person's privacy by trying to gather or collect their personal information and details.
- You will not participate in any activities that may be deemed illegal, offensive, inappropriate, defamatory, indecent, threatening, or objectionable in any manner.
- You will not help or enable any third party to engage in any of the actions mentioned above.
Payment Terms / Method
- Fees must be paid in advance through a third-party provider.
- Fees are to be paid in Australian dollars and include GST.
- You acknowledge that we do not have control over third-party payment provider sites, including any content that may be displayed on those sites.
- By making a payment through a third-party payment provider, you acknowledge and accept their applicable terms and conditions.
- Payments are considered final and irrevocable unless there is evidence of fraud or error.
- We reserve the right to adjust our fees at any time, provided that reasonable notice is posted on our website.
Refund Policy
- If the medical practitioner you are connected with decides, at their sole discretion and for any reason, not to issue you a Online Medical certificate, we will fully refund the fees you paid within a reasonable timeframe, up to 14 days.
- If your employer or academic institution does not accept the medical certificate you received as proof of personal illness or injury (or for a dependent's illness or injury in the case of carer’s leave), you will not be eligible for a refund.
- If you receive a medical certificate that is incorrect or contains errors due to inaccurate information you provided during your registration or when requesting the certificate, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Delivery of Documents
- If the health practitioner deems it appropriate to issue a medical certificate, it will be sent to your provided email address or/and SMS
- If the health practitioner determines that issuing a medical certificate is inappropriate, you will automatically receive a full refund of your purchase price through the platform.
- You acknowledge that documents are provided exclusively in electronic format and are signed digitally using cryptographic methods.
- You acknowledge that all documents, including medical certificates and receipts, are provided solely in Adobe PDF format. No other formats will be offered.
- You agree not to alter, edit, reverse engineer, or modify any documents given to you.
- Neither we, nor the Health Practitioners using our Platform, guarantee that a medical certificate will be provided. Provision of any health services (including a telehealth consultation and/or provision of a medical certification) remains at all times at the sole and complete discretion of the Health Practitioner

You commit to offering honest, impartial, and precise information in your review.
Your customer experience should be from the last 12 months.
We do not take responsibility for the content of any reviews.
Reviews must reflect your own personal experience as a customer. You are not allowed to write a review about another customer's experience or on their behalf.
Limitation of Liability
Notwithstanding any other provision, and to the fullest extent allowed by law:
We shall not be liable to you or any other party for any loss or damage resulting from: (i) your access to or use of this Platform; (ii) your inability to access or use this Platform; (iii) any unauthorized creation, access, or use of your personal information or data; (iv) any loss or damage incurred through the use of our third-party payment provider.
We will not be liable for any actual or anticipated loss of profit, benefit, goodwill, reputation, savings, revenue, opportunity, or data (including corruption), whether arising under statute, contract, equity, tort (including negligence), indemnity, or any other legal theory.
Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to either (i) the resupply of services and/or products, or (ii) the payment of the direct costs incurred in resupplying the services and/or products.
This clause shall remain in effect even after the termination or expiration of these Terms and Conditions.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against all losses, damages, liabilities, claims, and expenses incurred by us arising from or related to: (i) your use of this Platform and its content; (ii) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; or (iii) your violation of any applicable laws.
Third Parties
This Platform may include links to third-party websites (including third-party payment providers). We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content. Accessing any such website is at your own risk.
Intellectual Property Rights
In these Terms, "Intellectual Property Rights" refers to all intellectual property rights worldwide, whether registered or unregistered, including but not limited to copyright, patents, trademarks, design rights, trade secrets, programming code, front-end code, page layouts, domain names, know-how, and any other similar rights, as well as any applications for registration or rights to apply for such registration.
We own or license all rights, title, and interest (including Intellectual Property Rights) in our Platform and all its content, unless otherwise stated.
Your use of the Platform and access to its content does not grant you any rights, title, or interest in our Platform or its content.
You may access the Platform through a web browser or mobile device only for personal, non-commercial use.
Where the Platform incorporates open-source code, access to that code is subject to the terms specified by the licensor. Such open-source code is provided "as is," without any warranty from us.
You may not, without our prior written consent: (i) copy or use any content, in whole or in part; or (ii) reproduce, distribute, or broadcast any content from this Platform to any third party.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions:
(i) The party claiming a dispute must provide written notice to the
other party within 10 days of the dispute arising, detailing the nature
of the dispute and proposing a resolution.
(ii) Within 7 days of receiving the notice, the parties must meet at
least once to engage in good-faith negotiations to resolve the dispute
or agree on a method of resolution.
(iii) Any dispute that is referred to mediation must be submitted to the
Resolution Institute, or an alternative mediator may be appointed by
mutual agreement.
(iv) If the dispute is not resolved, or if a resolution method is not
agreed upon, within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to
litigation.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend your account or restrict your access to this Platform, in whole or in part, and/or terminate this Agreement immediately by notifying you via email, in the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Severance
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, void, unenforceable, or illegal, it shall be interpreted in a way that makes it valid, legal, and enforceable to the greatest extent possible. If it is not possible to modify the provision, it will be severed from these Terms and Conditions, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Jurisdiction
Your use of this Platform and these Terms and Conditions is governed by the laws of the state of Queensland, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, including any courts with appellate authority over those courts, and waive any right to challenge the venue or jurisdiction of such courts.
We make no warranty or representation that our Platform complies with the laws of any country outside of Australia. If you access this Platform from a country outside Australia, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws of the jurisdiction from which you access the Platform.
General
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree and acknowledge that:
(a) This Platform is provided "as is," and you bear the entire risk
associated with its use.
(b) We make no warranty, guarantee, or representation regarding any
specific outcome from your use of this Platform.
(c) We make no warranty, guarantee, or representation that our
Platform is free from faults or viruses.
(d) We make no warranty, guarantee, or representation that our
Platform:
(i) will be accessible at all times,
(ii) will not be interrupted, or
(iii) will continue to operate without changes.
(e) We reserve the right to discontinue, in whole or in part, our
Platform at any time and without notice.
